Getting started

• Coaches: Sign up and choose "Coach." You become the team admin.
• Players & assistant coaches: Sign up and enter your coach's team code to join — it's free.
• Set up your team in Profile & Team — organization name, mascot, logo, and permissions.

Team codes

In Profile & Team, tap Generate code (24h) to create an invite code. Share it with the people you want on your team. For security, each code expires after 24 hours — generate a fresh one whenever you need to add more people. Anyone who already joined stays on your team even after the code expires.

Designing plays

Tap Design a Play, drop players, and pick routes or sketch them freehand. Choose a formation from the library or build your own. Tap Run to watch the play in 2D or 3D, and Save to add it to your playbook.

Playbook AI (photo → play)

Open Playbook AI, take or choose a photo of a play from paper or a whiteboard, and tap Read this play. The play is drawn up for you to review, tweak, and save. You can photograph a full sheet of plays and save them all at once. It's built in — no setup or API key needed. Free plans include a limited number of reads.

Importing an existing playbook (no AI)

Already have a ChalkTalk playbook on another device? Go to Export / Import, tap Download file on the first device, then Import from a file on the second and pick that file. This moves your whole playbook for free, without using any Playbook AI reads.

Sharing plays & film

A coach controls what players see in Profile & Team → Permissions ("Players can view plays" / "Players can view film"). Players then see everything the coach shares, except plays marked hidden. In the Film Room, upload game and practice film and link clips to players on your depth chart.

Subscriptions

How does billing work? ChalkTalk offers optional team subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase — Monthly ($50/mo), a Season Pass ($225 for 5 months), and Yearly ($550/yr). The coach or school pays once and the whole team is unlocked; players and assistant coaches are always free.

How do I cancel? Manage or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions anytime in your Apple Account: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. The Season Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew. If a plan lapses, your plays and film are never deleted — content beyond the free limits is simply locked until you re-subscribe.

Account & passwords

• Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password? and enter your email to get a reset link.
• Delete your account: Profile & Team → Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile; if you're the team admin, it also removes your team and its shared plays and film.

Is my data private?

Your content is shared only with your own team, based on your coach's permissions. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
